About the role We are looking for a hands-on Network Engineer – Data Center Infrastructure to support the delivery of data center white space and network infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should have strong practical experience in structured cabling, fiber and copper connectivity, rack-and-stack, network equipment installation, testing, and troubleshooting within data center environments. This is a hands-on role requiring close coordination with project teams, customers, vendors, and contractors to ensure infrastructure is installed, tested, documented, and delivered according to project requirements and data center standards. Key responsibilities Support the implementation and delivery of data center white space and network infrastructure projects. Install, terminate, patch, label, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper structured cabling. Perform rack-and-stack installation of switches, routers, servers, patch panels, PDUs, and other IT/network equipment. Perform fiber and copper patching between racks, cabinets, patch panels, and network equipment. Support Cat6/Cat6A copper, single-mode fiber (SMF), and multi-mode fiber (MMF) infrastructure. Perform proper cable routing, dressing, bundling, labeling, and cable management within data center environments. Conduct cable testing, certification, and troubleshooting using appropriate testing equipment. Support installation, replacement, migration, and basic configuration of network equipment. Troubleshoot physical network connectivity issues, including cables, ports, patch panels, SFP/QSFP transceivers, and network devices. Verify installation against rack elevations, cable schedules, port mappings, network diagrams, and project drawings. About you Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Network Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in data center infrastructure, network deployment, or structured cabling projects. Hands-on structured cabling experience within data center environments is required. Strong practical experience with fiber optic and copper cabling, including installation, patching, termination, labeling, testing, and troubleshooting. Experience with Cat6/Cat6A, single-mode fiber, and multi-mode fiber. Good understanding of data center white space infrastructure, including racks, cabinets, patch panels, cable trays, and cable management. Hands-on experience with rack-and-stack and IT/network equipment installation. Ability to read and understand rack elevations, cable schedules, port mappings, network diagrams, and technical drawings. Comfortable working onsite within active data center environments. Willing to support after-hours maintenance, migration, or cutover activities when required.
