Part-Time Economics Teacher

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Part-Time IGCSE Business Management / Economics Teacher to join a leading international school from 1 September . As a Teacher, you will be expected to: Confidently teach IGCSE Business Management and/or Economics across relevant year groups. Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and an excellent understanding of the IGCSE curriculum. Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that support students of varying abilities. Have an open-minded and flexible approach to teaching and learning, with a commitment to continued professional development. Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the development of teaching resources and the wider department. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support academic achievement. Maintain an awareness of current developments and best practice within Business and Economics education internationally. Create a positive, engaging and supportive learning environment for all students. Requirements Qualified teacher with Bachelor’s Degree or above in relevant subject disciplines, plus PGDE/PGCE/B.Ed. qualification Be proficient in written and spoken English Applicants should be registered teachers with the Hong Kong Education Bureau. The ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with teachers and other relevant professionals, parents and students; An understanding of current developments in teaching; Experience of a range of assessment strategies for identifying students’ needs and supporting learning; A commitment to pastoral care within the school; A commitment to developing students’ skills through extra-curricular opportunities.
