Sr. Technical Sales (Food Ingredients) Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers in the savory food segment , including manufacturers of sauces, seasonings, soups, instant foods, snacks, ready-to-eat foods, and processed foods. Drive sales of Yeast Extract, Seasoning, Savory Ingredients, and related Taste & Flavor Solutions to achieve assigned sales targets and profitability objectives. Identify and develop new customers, new projects, and new business opportunities within the food manufacturing industry. Provide technical consultation and recommend suitable ingredients based on customers' product applications, desired taste profiles, manufacturing processes, and cost requirements. Support customers in the application of Yeast Extract and Seasoning solutions , including taste enhancement, umami enhancement, flavor improvement, and formulation optimization. Work closely with customers' R&D, Product Development, Purchasing, and Production teams to develop new applications and commercialize new projects. Coordinate with internal technical/R&D teams and suppliers to conduct product trials, application tests, and product development projects. Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, samples, and commercial proposals to customers. Monitor market trends, customer requirements, competitor products, pricing, and developments within the savory food and seasoning market. Build and manage the sales pipeline from new project identification and product trials through commercial negotiation and sales conversion. Collaborate with Marketing, Technical, Supply Chain, and other internal teams to support product launches and customer projects. Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer information, project pipelines, and activity reports in the CRM system. Achieve individual sales targets, sales growth, and profitability objectives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering , or a related field. At least 2 years of experience in Technical Sales, Sales, Business Development, or Account Management within the Food Ingredients industry. Strong preference for candidates with experience selling Yeast Extract, Seasoning, Savory Ingredients, Flavor Ingredients, Taste Solutions, or related food ingredients. Experience handling customers in the savory food segment , such as sauce, seasoning, soup, instant food, snack, ready-to-eat, or processed food manufacturers, is highly preferred. Good understanding of savory applications, seasoning systems, taste enhancement, umami, and food ingredient functionality. Knowledge of food manufacturing processes and product development is an advantage. Ability to communicate effectively with R&D, Product Development, Purchasing, Production, and business decision-makers . Proven ability to develop new customers, manage technical sales projects, and build long-term customer relationships. Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Commercial mindset with the ability to translate technical product benefits into customer value. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Willingness to travel to customer sites and attend industry events. Good command of spoken and written English.
