Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

About the role We are seeking an experienced estimator / quantity surveyor to join our team at Hing Lung Interior Design and Engineering Limited in the Kwun Tong District. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring the financial viability and successful delivery of our projects. What you'll be doing Prepare tenders / quotations for submission, including comprehensive cost estimates, bills of quantities / schedule of rates and other tender documents for a variety of fit-out projects Analyse design drawings, specifications and other project documentation to identify all necessary resources, materials and labour requirements Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing Provide cost advice and recommendations to project managers and clients throughout the project lifecycle Monitor project costs and variances, proposing solutions to maintain budgets Collaborate with the design and project management teams to ensure estimates align with project requirements Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, standards and best practices in construction estimating What we're looking for Degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field Minimum 5 years of experience as an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the interior design and construction industry Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, costs and industry standards Proficient in using estimating software, spreadsheets and other relevant tools Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Effective communication and negotiation skills, with experience liaising with clients, suppliers and project teams Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work What we offer At Hing Lung Interior Design and Engineering Limited, we believe in providing our employees with a supportive and rewarding work environment.
