Job Responsibilities : Deal Sourcing & Origination Proactively source and generate a robust pipeline of viable private debt investment opportunities across targeted creative sectors. Establish and nurture strategic networks with industry key players, trade associations, accelerators, and financial institutions to drive co-financing and deal referrals. Prepare valuation of clients through quantitative and qualitative methods. Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential borrowers, evaluating financial statements, business plans and market conditions. Structuring & Transaction Execution Lead end-to-end transaction execution, including Term Sheet negotiation, managing external legal counsel for documentation, and ensuring full compliance with conditions precedent before disbursement. Design innovative, tailored debt structures (e.g., contract financing, revolving credit and term loan) suited to the unique cash flow profiles of creative businesses. Evaluation & Credit Advocacy Conduct comprehensive commercial., financial, and legal due diligence, developing robust financial models, sensitivity analyses, and valuation frameworks. Prepare and present high quality credit papers to Management, the Investment Committee, and the Board of Directors with clear risk return assessments and recommendations. Portfolio Management & restructuring Monitor portfolio health, track covenants, and conduct regular site visits, proactively recommending early warning interventions or restructuring strategies for distressed accounts. Collaborate with borrowers to provide value add strategic guidance, enhancing their financial literacy and operational sustainability. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, effectively communicating loan terms, conditions and expectations. Conduct field visits and industry research to gather market data and stay abreast of industry trends. Lead and participate in internal and external meetings, presenting financial analysis and recommendations to stakeholders. Impact & Strategic Reporting Measure and report on qualititative and quantitative developmental impact metrics alongside financial risk/return tracking. Ad-Hoc Task Preparing ad-hoc reports for the department and management, providing critical insights into portfolio performance and market trends. Job Requirements : Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Admin or related field/MBA or equivalent master's degree is highly preferred. A recognised professional qualification, CFA, ACCA, CPA is an added advantage. Minimum 6 – 8 years in private debt, venture debt, corporate banking, or venture capital, with direct exposure to non standard deal structuring. Deep understanding of intellectual property (IP) as collateral, alternative credit assessment frameworks, and contract backed financing. Strong negotiation, pitch presentation, and stakeholder management skills to interact seamlessly with both corporate boards and creative entrepreneurs. Proven track record preparing credit papers and presenting to Management, Investment Committee and the Board of Directors. Client-centric with excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills. Strong financial modelling, credit analysis and business valuation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear, detailed credit papers. Solid understanding of credit structuring, risk management and relevant regulatory requirements. High level of integrity and diligence with the ability to identify and escalate irregularities promptly. Strong stakeholder management skills in managing investees, senior management and Board members. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Self-motivated and detail-oriented with the ability to complete assigned tasks independently.
