About the Company This well established contractor deliver exceptional construction, interior fitout, and refurbishment projects for a diverse range of public and private sector clients. Their Brisbane team is currently experiencing an exciting period of growth, and we are looking for a driven, results-oriented Contracts Administrator with 4 to 8+ years of experience to join the QLD team with their offices based in Milton. The Role Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the financial and contractual management of commercial fitout and refurbishment projects across South East Queensland. You will work closely with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard. Key Responsibilities: Administering subcontracts, consultant agreements, and main contract requirements. Preparing and managing scopes of work, subcontractor tender packages, and level tender comparisons. Drafting and executing subcontracts, progress claims, variations, and extensions of time. Managing monthly progress claims, payment schedules, and subcontractor claims. Proactively forecasting project costs, managing cash flow, and updating project cost reports (PIRs/CVRs). Identifying, pricing, and negotiating variations and mitigating commercial risks. Building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. About You To be successful in this role, you will bring a professional attitude, strong commercial acumen, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Experience: 4 to 8+ years of experience working as a Contracts Administrator within the Australian construction industry. Sector Background: Ideally, you have a proven track record working directly for a commercial fitout and refurbishment contractor . Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline. Software Literacy: Proficiency in industry software (experience with Cheops, Jobpac, or similar cost-tracking systems is highly regarded).
