Account Executive

About the role We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Account Executive to join our growing team at CHL INNOVATION INDUSTRIES SDN BHD'. In this full-time role based in Bukit Mertajam Penang, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial accounting and budgeting processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to support our strategic decision-making. What you'll be doing Full Set Accounts: Preparation of full set accounts, including minority management report with analysis report, required schedules, cash flow planning, bank reconciliation, and inter-company reconciliation. Tax Compliance: Handle tax compliance work, including tax estimation, filing, queries, audit and payments. Audit Support: Prepare audited financial statements and audit schedules, and attend to auditors’ queries. Issue Resolution: Identify, report, and resolve accounting-related operating issues, discrepancies, and abnormal transactions. Stakeholder Management: Respond to information requests from bankers, customers, vendors, and regulatory bodies. Credit Control: Monitor payments to creditors and manage debtors’ collection reports, which includes analyzing ageing report, enforcing credit control, and taking necessary actions to collect or settle long-standing debts. Team Leadership: Lead junior accounting staff and assist them in problem-solving. Compliance & Filing: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies while maintaining properly filed records. Process Improvement: Participate in optimizing accounting systems and processes Ad-Hoc Tasks: Provide administrative support and complete ad-hoc tasks as assigned. What we're looking for Qualification: Candidate must possesses at least LCCI, Diploma in Finance/Accountancy, ACCA, CPA or equivalent qualification. Experience: 2 to 5 years of solid working experience in a similar accounting or financial role, preferably in manufacturing sector. Tech Skills: Computer literate with a strong command of Microsoft Office and Accounting software. Languages: Good communication skill (oral and written) in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin. Ability to speak in Mandarin is highly preferred to deal with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail and ability to work proactively under pressure, to meet tight deadlines.
