Studio Manager

About the role J.I.M is seeking a dynamic and organised Studio Manager to join our team in Burleigh Heads, Queensland. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to lead and oversee the daily operations of our studio facility. As Studio Manager, you will be the backbone of our studio operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery, maintaining studio standards, and creating a welcoming environment for our members and clients. This role is pivotal to the success of our organisation, directly impacting member satisfaction, retention and the overall profitability of the studio. Key responsibilities Oversee and manage all day-to-day studio operations, including opening and closing procedures, facility maintenance, and cleanliness standards Schedule and coordinate instructors, staff and classes to ensure optimal studio utilisation and member satisfaction Manage front-of-house operations, including member check-ins, inquiries and reception duties Monitor and maintain studio equipment, coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed Handle member registrations, billing, renewals and provide excellent customer service to resolve member concerns and complaints Recruit, train, supervise and mentor studio staff and instructors to maintain high performance standards Develop and implement strategies to increase studio membership, retention and member engagement Monitor studio finances, manage budgets and ensure profitability targets are met Maintain health, safety and compliance standards in accordance with relevant legislation and industry regulations Liaise with senior management and report on studio performance, member feedback and operational metrics What we're looking for Proven experience in studio management, health and fitness facility management, or similar recreational management role within the Sport & Recreation industry Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate, train and develop team members Excellent organisational and administrative abilities with strong attention to detail Outstanding customer service skills with a genuine passion for member satisfaction and experience Experience with studio management software, booking systems and member management platforms Sound knowledge of health, safety and compliance requirements relevant to fitness studios and recreational facilities Financial acumen with experience in budget management, member billing and revenue optimisation Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with staff, members and management Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to challenges Familiarity with the local Burleigh Heads area and understanding of the community would be advantageous Confident in managing the J.I.M Burleigh Instagram , including regular posting, scheduling, and content creation. Confident using Canva to create monthly challenges, graphics, studio notices and promotional material. Confident with sales calls and lead follow-ups , converting enquiries into memberships.
