About the role Sunrise Energy Technology Co., Ltd. is seeking a Design Engineer (Solar Energy) to join our dynamic team based in Bangkok. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our mission to advance solar energy solutions. As a Design Engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing innovative solar energy systems and infrastructure that contribute to sustainable power generation. Your work will directly impact the company's ability to deliver cutting-edge renewable energy solutions to the market, making this a strategically important position within our engineering division. Key responsibilities Design and develop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and associated components using industry-standard software and tools Conduct technical analysis and feasibility studies for solar energy projects to assess viability and optimise system performance Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for solar installations and equipment Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, electrical engineers, and installation specialists to ensure designs meet project requirements Perform system simulations and modelling to predict energy output and identify potential efficiency improvements Ensure all designs comply with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Review and evaluate supplier proposals and equipment specifications for solar components and materials Provide technical support during project implementation and troubleshoot design-related issues in the field Stay current with advancements in solar technology and industry best practices to enhance design capabilities What we're looking for Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in solar energy design or a related field within the renewable energy sector Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent) and solar design tools (PVsyst, HOMER, or similar) Strong understanding of solar PV system components, including inverters, mounting systems, and balance-of-system equipment Knowledge of electrical systems, including three-phase power distribution and grid-connection requirements Familiarity with Thai electrical codes, safety standards, and renewable energy regulations Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in technical design work Strong communication skills in both Thai and English, with the ability to document and present technical information clearly Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in team environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously Professional Engineer (PE) licence or equivalent certification is preferred but not essential Apply now If you are a talented Design Engineer with a passion for solar energy and meet the above requirements, we would love to hear from you.
