Position: Purchasing Department Manager Company: Thai Medical Group 88 Co., Ltd. Position Summary The Purchasing Department Manager is responsible for leading the procurement function for pharmaceuticals, medical devices, medical equipment, and healthcare-related supplies to support hospitals and clinics within the group and external healthcare clients. The role focuses on strategic sourcing, supplier partnership management, cost optimization, and ensuring product quality, availability, and regulatory compliance in alignment with healthcare standards and business objectives. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute procurement strategies for pharmaceuticals, medical devices, medical equipment, and healthcare supplies. Lead and manage the purchasing team to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely procurement operations. Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best value in terms of quality, cost, delivery, and service. Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and strategic business partners. Collaborate with hospitals, clinics, pharmacy, clinical, finance, and operations teams to support business and patient-care requirements. Monitor inventory trends and demand forecasts to ensure appropriate stock availability while minimizing excess inventory. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, healthcare regulations, and relevant legal and ethical standards. Analyze market trends, pricing, and new healthcare products to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement. Manage procurement budgets, purchasing performance, and supplier KPIs, and prepare management reports. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency, transparency, and service quality. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy. Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field is preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare procurement, pharmaceutical purchasing, or medical supply chain management. At least 3 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role. Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, medical equipment, and healthcare procurement processes. Experience working with hospitals, clinics, or healthcare service providers is highly preferred. Strong negotiation, analytical, and financial management skills. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities. Good command of English and proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/procurement systems.
