Builder / Restoration Technician Build. Restore. Make a Difference. Restorx is part of Johns Lyng Group, a leading restoration and construction business with operations across New Zealand. We’re growing our Christchurch team and looking for a practical, reliable and hardworking Restoration Technician to join us. This is a hands-on role ideally suited to someone with a building, construction or trades background who enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in their workmanship. You’ll work across a variety of insurance restoration projects, including water damage, fire and smoke cleaning, mould remediation, structural cleaning, strip-outs and contents restoration . No two days are the same, and you’ll play an important role in helping customers through what can be a stressful time. Key Responsibilities Attend residential and commercial restoration projects across Auckland Complete water, fire, smoke, mould and structural cleaning works Assist with demolition, strip-outs and contents restoration Set up and monitor drying and restoration equipment Complete works to a high standard and maintain a clean, safe worksite Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors and other contractors Complete accurate job notes, photographs and documentation Identify and report additional damage, hazards or issues Follow all company, health and safety and legislative requirements You’ll be working directly with customers, supervisors, insurers and other contractors, so good communication and a professional attitude are just as important as good trade skills.
