Senior Infrastructure Specialist (SAN, Virtualization, Over $68K)

Job description: Offer technical guidance on the administration, operation, and configuration of Cloud Infrastructure Services equipment—such as databases, servers, storage, and backup systems—to support the delivery of Shared Services. Support the upgrading of system software within virtualized environments for Cloud Infrastructure Services Shared Services. Conduct problem diagnosis and performance tuning for Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) application servers and databases (including DB2, Oracle, and MySQL) to aid in capacity planning and server configuration management within Cloud Infrastructure Services. Deliver comprehensive database support, including backup, recovery, and high-availability setups in complex database environments. Provide 24/7 on-call support as needed, including during nights, weekends, and public holidays. Assist in and provide support for the migration of Cloud Infrastructure Services to a new data centre. Help the project manager oversee contractor performance and ensure quality assurance for all project deliverables from outsourced vendors. Requirements: Higher Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or its equivalent At least 6 years’ experience in IT industry At least 3 years’ experience in upporting large-scale IT infrastructure (over 1,000 virtual servers) with dual-active production sites over cross-site network with SAN support for hosting e-services adopting J2EE application infrastructure on Linux systems At least 3 years’ experience in supporting MySQL, IBM DB2 UDB and Oracle RAC database systems Experience in using virtualization software including VMware 7 or above At least 3 years’ experience in conducting quality assurance on project deliverables If interested for the above position, please send detailed resume with current and expected salary as well as date of availability by sending email to vacancy@clts.com For more job opportunity, please visit our website: www.clts.com The personal information is collected strictly for recruitment purpose only.
