🚀 About the Role We are building a modern audit practice in Kuala Lumpur with a focus on improving how audit teams work. This includes using automation to reduce repetitive processes, improving audit efficiency, and creating a more sustainable and supportive team environment. As an Audit Assistant Manager / Audit Manager , you will take a key role in leading audit engagements, managing teams, and working closely with clients and partners. You will gain exposure to a range of engagements, including group audits, IPO-related assignments, and capital market-related work , while having the opportunity to contribute to how our growing audit practice is built. Our office is directly connected to an LRT station (doorstep access) and a mall, making the daily commute convenient. We are looking for experienced audit professionals who are ready to take greater ownership of engagements, develop their teams, and grow together with the firm. 🔍 What You’ll Be Doing Lead and manage external audit engagements across a diverse portfolio of clients Plan audit engagements, identify key risks, and determine appropriate audit approaches Manage group audit engagements and IPO-related workstreams Supervise, coach, and review the work of Associates and Senior Associates Monitor engagement progress, timelines, budgets, and deliverables Work closely with clients, including finance teams and management, to resolve audit and accounting matters Review financial statements and audit documentation to ensure quality and compliance with applicable standards Identify audit issues and communicate practical recommendations to clients Coordinate with component auditors, specialists, and other professional advisers where required Work closely with Partners on significant audit, accounting, and engagement matters Contribute to improving audit methodologies, workflows, tools, and automation Support the development of junior team members through coaching and on-the-job guidance 🎯 What We’re Looking For Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Professional qualification or progress towards a recognised professional qualification is an advantage Relevant external audit experience, preferably with experience supervising or managing audit engagements Good understanding of applicable financial reporting and auditing standards Experience in group audits, listed companies, IPOs, or capital market assignments would be an advantage Strong analytical, problem-solving, and review skills Good communication and client management skills Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members Strong sense of ownership and ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines Proactive mindset and willingness to contribute beyond individual engagements Comfortable working in a growing and fast-paced environment 💡 Why Join Us Exposure to group audits and IPO-related engagements Opportunity to gain experience in capital market-related work Opportunity to work closely with experienced Partners Greater ownership and involvement in managing engagements and clients Opportunity to lead and develop your own audit teams Focus on automation and reducing repetitive audit processes Opportunity to contribute ideas and help shape how the firm operates as we grow Office with doorstep LRT access and mall connectivity Supportive and collaborative team environment Clear opportunities for career progression as the firm expands 🏢 About Us We are a growing audit and advisory firm in Kuala Lumpur, built by experienced professionals who believe the industry can be improved.
