Assistant Quantity Surveyor

About the role New World Sense Limited is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our growing surveying team. This is a full-time position based in Tsuen Wan, Tsuen Wan District . In this role, you will support senior quantity surveyors in managing project costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring effective financial control throughout the construction lifecycle. You will play a crucial part in our project delivery, contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of our cost management processes. What you'll be doing Assisting in the preparation of bills of quantities, cost estimates, and tender documents for construction projects Conducting site measurements and preparing detailed measurements from architectural and engineering drawings Supporting the valuation of work completed on site and processing interim payment certificates Maintaining accurate records of project costs, variations, and contractual claims Liaising with contractors, consultants, and clients to gather information and resolve cost-related queries Assisting in the analysis of tender submissions and providing recommendations Supporting the preparation of final accounts and project cost reconciliation Contributing to the development and maintenance of cost databases and pricing information Undertaking site visits to monitor project progress and verify completed works Assisting senior quantity surveyors in preparing reports and presentations for project stakeholders What we're looking for Knowledge of construction practices, methods, and contractual procedures Proficiency in using measurement software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel Strong numeracy and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in English and Chinese (a significant advantage) The ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple tasks simultaneously A professional approach to client and contractor relationships Familiarity with Hong Kong construction standards and regulations is preferred About us New World Sense Limited is a respected surveying practice within the New World Group, committed to delivering high-quality professional services in the construction and property sectors.
