About the role The International English Language Editor is responsible for editorial and content development for educational materials, alongside school visits and educational product support. The position involves editing and rewriting manuscripts, proofreading educational materials, and ensuring language suitability across textbooks, workbooks, and digital content for learners from early childhood through secondary education. The role works closely with authors, editors, project managers, designers, and production teams, while also supporting school visits and educational activities to introduce and demonstrate the company's educational products. Key responsibilities Edit and rewrite manuscripts to ensure accuracy, clarity, natural English, readability, and appropriate tone Proofread educational materials to correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, vocabulary, sentence structure, and language usage Ensure language suitability by adapting vocabulary, instructions, examples, and contexts to learners across different learning stages and English proficiency levels, from early childhood through secondary education Maintain editorial quality and consistency in language, style, terminology, formatting, and English usage across textbooks, workbooks, digital materials, and other educational content Collaborate with authors, editors, project managers, designers, and production teams throughout the development and production process Review layouts and final proofs to ensure the accuracy and appropriate presentation of text, images, graphics, and learning activities before publication Provide editorial and language guidance to writers and staff to improve the quality, accuracy, and naturalness of English content Contribute ideas and recommendations on language, learning activities, instructions, and the overall presentation of educational materials Support school visits, workshops, training sessions, and educational events, working with the sales team to introduce and demonstrate the company's educational products and learning materials Present academic and product features, including language-learning approaches, teaching applications, and benefits of the materials to teachers, academic leaders, and school administrators Provide academic support by answering questions related to English language learning, teaching approaches, curriculum, and educational materials Gather feedback from educators and communicate relevant insights to editorial and product development teams for future improvement About you English-language professional with advanced English proficiency (CEFR C1 or above) and an excellent command of written and spoken English Bachelor's degree or higher in English, English Language Teaching (ELT), TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Education, or a related field Strong knowledge of English grammar, vocabulary, usage, writing conventions, and natural English expression Strong editing, proofreading, and rewriting skills, with the ability to adapt language for learners across different learning stages and proficiency levels Good understanding of EFL/ESL teaching principles, CEFR, and language learning appropriate to different learning stages, from early childhood through secondary education Experience in English language teaching, educational publishing, textbook editing, curriculum development, or educational content development is preferred Good presentation and communication skills, with confidence communicating with teachers, academic leaders, and school administrators Able to work independently and collaboratively with editorial, academic, design, production, and sales teams Willing to travel for school visits, workshops, training sessions, and educational events as required Recognised evidence of English proficiency, such as IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, Cambridge English Qualifications, or equivalent, is an advantage Relevant English language teaching qualifications, particularly those related to EFL/ESL or teaching English across different learning stages, are an advantage Contact: Khun.
