About the role AHI Carrier New Zealand Ltd is seeking a Trade Counter Sales Rep [Parts Interpreter] to join our team on a full-time basis for our TOTALINE business division, for their branch/store in Penrose-Auckland. This is a pivotal customer-facing role within the air conditioning and refrigeration industry, where you will be the essential link for our customers and the products we offer. You will provide expert parts identification, technical guidance, and exceptional service to support the branch deliverables, including operations support when required. Your role will be instrumental in building customer loyalty, providing exceptional service, driving sales, and creating TOTALINE as a trusted business partner, as a one-stop-shop for all customer HVAC after-market, parts and supply needs. Key responsibilities Identify, interpret parts and process quotes and orders requests from various spectrum of customers including - trade, contractors, technicians, installers etc Provide accurate parts sourcing and technical recommendations based on equipment specifications and customer requirements Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Carrier and complementary product ranges, including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and associated components Process customer orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy in part numbers, quantities, and delivery details Manage counter operations and be well-versed and organised to complete customer order fulfillment in a timely manner Build and maintain strong relationships with regular trade customers, understanding their specific needs and preferences Handle payment processing and manage customer accounts professionally Keep up to date with new products, technical specifications, and industry developments to provide current, accurate guidance Support store warehouse operations as required What we're looking for Proven experience working in a trade counter or parts department, preferably within HVAC, air conditioning, or refrigeration sectors Strong organisational, comnunication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail when processing orders and managing stock Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment Proficient in computers with working knowledge, on ERP, point of sales system, MSoffice etc Applicants with a HVAC trade qualification, or those highly trained or experience in the industry will be preferred, with sound technical knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and industry terminology 2-3 years' minimum experience operating a forklift in a high-risk warehouse environment and preferably holding a valid FK license Valid driving license and willingness to support with occasional deliveries when required and experienced What we offer A competitive remuneration package, and kiwi super Additional opportunity to earn incentives, on achieving branch deliverables Ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your technical knowledge and sales capabilities, and access to industry-leading product training.
