Join our Infrastructure & Network team and support the daily operation and enhancement of IT infrastructure across Hong Kong and Macau. What You'll Do Provide Tier 2-3 support and troubleshooting for network infrastructure. Support the delivery of IT infrastructure projects across Hong Kong and Macau, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution. Monitor network and system performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement enhancement initiatives. Configure, install and troubleshoot network devices, including switches, firewalls, VPNs and Wi-Fi solutions. Maintain network performance, stability, security, and connectivity. Provide timely resolution of network infrastructure-related incidents. Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning exercises. Provide technical support to users on infrastructure and network-related matters. Support the implementation of IT infrastructure standards, security controls and best practices. Coordinate with vendors and service providers to support infrastructure operations and projects. Research and evaluate emerging infrastructure and networking technologies and recommend improvements. Assist with IT asset management and procurement activities. What We're Looking For Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in network and infrastructure support. CCNA, CCNP, ITIL, Microsoft Azure or other relevant infrastructure/network certifications are preferred. Experience working in a sizable and complex IT environment. Hands-on experience with infrastructure setup and support, including server rooms, Wi-Fi, CCTV, IP telephony, and networking projects. Knowledge of configuring and supporting networking equipment, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers. Familiarity with Software-Defined Networks (SDN), Next-Generation Firewalls, and WAN optimization technologies is preferred. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. A proactive team player with a positive attitude and strong sense of ownership. Able to work effectively under tight deadlines. Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese. Passionate candidates with less experience will also be considered. That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
