We're now looking for an experienced Diesel Technician to become a key part of our Blenheim team. We’re looking for someone who already knows their way around a workshop and can confidently get stuck into the job. Ideally, you’ll come from a heavy diesel or commercial vehicle background, but we’re also very happy to talk to qualified mechanics from the light vehicle or construction equipment industries who are keen to make the move into trucks and heavy transport. Experience working on DAF and/or Kenworth trucks would be a definite advantage, but it’s not essential. If you’ve got the right mechanical foundations, a good attitude and know how to diagnose and fix things properly, we want to hear from you. The Role This is a predominantly workshop-based role, working across a variety of trucks, trailers and commercial vehicles. You’ll be involved in: Servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults Preventative maintenance and inspections Identifying issues before they become bigger problems Completing work to a high standard and keeping customers informed Working alongside an experienced team to keep our customers’ gear on the road The role is Monday to Friday, with Saturdays as required. A Class 5 truck licence would certainly come in handy, but it’s not essential. About You We’re looking for a capable tradesperson who takes pride in their work. Someone who: Holds a recognised mechanical trade qualification Has solid mechanical knowledge and diagnostic ability Ideally has experience with trucks, heavy diesel or commercial vehicles Takes pride in doing the job properly Is practical, reliable and willing to get stuck in Can work independently but enjoys being part of a good team Brings a positive, common-sense approach to the workshop Most importantly, we’re looking for a good technician and a good person who wants to be part of a business that is building for the future.
