About the Role We seeking a dedicated and reliable Yard Person/Delivery Driver - Hire Operations to join the team in Mount Wellington, Auckland location. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the efficient management and maintenance of the equipment hire yard, the safe and efficient delivery of goods to the customers, as well as assisting with various warehouse duties. Your role will be essential in supporting the operations and ensuring customer satisfaction. This is an organisation that is well established, where everyone works well as a team, and they have a reputation for delighting customers. What You'll Be Doing Receiving, inspecting, and preparing equipment for hire or sale Delivering hire equipment to clients Organising and maintaining the layout and cleanliness of the hire yard Assisting customers with the selection, loading, and unloading of hired equipment Performing basic maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed Ensuring the timely return and check-in of hired equipment Pick hire orders for dispatch and process returned equipment with precision and attention to detail Providing excellent customer service and troubleshooting any issues that may arise Accurate recording of equipment on internal systems Supporting the wider operations team as required What We're Looking For Prior experience in a similar yard or equipment handling role preferred but not essential Accurate with numbers and picking product Naturally tidy and enjoys working in an orderly manner Good work ethic and likes being part of an engaged team Strong knowledge of construction equipment and tools Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team Good physical fitness and the ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy equipment A valid Class 2 driver's licence and the ability to operate forklifts (preferred but not essential) A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment Ability to use the computerised systems with relevant previous experience doing this If you're ready to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team, we encourage you to apply now!
