Paralegal – Pathway to Solicitor

About the role A boutique Sydney CBD law firm is looking for a motivated Paralegal / Final-Year Law Student who wants hands-on legal experience and a genuine pathway into practice. You'll work closely with experienced lawyers, including the Managing Director, have direct client contact and receive hands-on mentoring while gradually taking on greater responsibility. For the right person, this role offers the opportunity to progress to a solicitor position with the firm following completion of your degree and admission. Key responsibilities Drafting court documents and correspondence Legal research and preparation of briefs Assisting with contracts and other legal documents Liaising with clients, opposing parties and other stakeholders Supporting practitioners with active matters File and matter management Taking on greater responsibility as your skills develop About you In the final stages of a law degree or approaching admission Available for a full-time role Some experience in a law firm or legal environment Communicates confidently and professionally Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Shows initiative and takes responsibility for their work Wants to learn and build a career in private practice Commercial litigation, insolvency or civil law experience would be advantageous, but isn't essential Must have the right to work in Australia About the firm A boutique firm covering commercial and business law, dispute resolution and litigation, bankruptcy and insolvency, property law, as well as employment law.
