Secondary Science / Other Subject Teachers Posted 3 hours ago ASSUMPTION COLLEGE Secondary Section | English Program (EP) Location: 26 Soi Charoenkrung 40, Bangrak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand Inspiring academic excellence since 1885, Assumption College is one of Thailand’s oldest and most prestigious all-boys schools, located in the heart of Bangkok. We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Science Teacher to join our English Program (EP) at the secondary level for the 2026 academic year. We are also accepting applications from qualified teachers in several subject areas for future vacancies and anticipated staffing needs for Academic Year 2027, beginning in May 2027. CURRENT VACANCY Science Teacher • Secondary Grades: 7–12 (M1–M6 | KS3–KS4) • Anticipated Start Date: 26 October 2026 (Start of Semester 2) / Negotiable • Application Deadline: Open Until Filled General Responsibilities • Deliver English-medium instruction aligned with the school curriculum • Promote student development, well-being, and positive learning behaviours • Apply appropriate teaching strategies, assessment methods, and educational technology • Maintain professional ethics in accordance with Teachers’ Council of Thailand (Khurusapha) standards • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community • Participate in school activities, meetings, professional development, and other duties appropriate to the position Working with Adolescent Learners Assumption College is an all-boys secondary school serving students in Grades 7–12 (M1–M6). Our students are energetic, capable, and enthusiastic young men who benefit from teachers who can establish positive relationships while maintaining clear expectations and consistent routines. Successful candidates should be confident working with adolescent learners and able to foster a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to motivate students, promote personal responsibility and respect, and address the typical behavioural challenges that may arise when working with teenage boys. Minimum Requirements • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field • Eligibility for Khurusapha professional licensing or a temporary teaching permit • Strong English-language communication skills appropriate for English-medium instruction Desired Qualifications and Experience • At least one (1) year of recent teaching experience • Secondary-level teaching experience preferred • Strong classroom management and student engagement skills • Ability to work effectively with adolescent boys in a structured school environment • Demonstrated ability to address behavioural issues calmly, fairly, and consistently • Positive, professional, and relationship-focused approach to student discipline • Demonstrated cultural awareness and ability to work effectively within Thai cultural norms and practices • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • At least one verifiable professional reference, preferably from a direct supervisor • Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, file-sharing platforms, interactive whiteboards, Google for Education applications (e.g., Google Classroom), and Apple devices and educational technologies (e.g., iPad and MacBook) • Experience integrating technology effectively into teaching and learning is highly desirable, as the school is actively developing toward Apple Distinguished School recognition • Experience preparing students for international examinations (e.g., SAT) is an advantage • Familiarity with English Programs in Thailand and the Thai curriculum is desirable • Preference may be given to Native English Speakers (NES), particularly those holding citizenship from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, or the United States. However, all suitably qualified applicants with strong English-language proficiency and relevant teaching experience are encouraged to apply • Non-NES applicants should include evidence of English proficiency with their application, such as TOEIC, TOEFL, IELTS, or an equivalent standardized test • Willingness and flexibility to participate in occasional weekend school activities and events when required. Teachers are expected to understand that certain school functions, including Open House, examinations, student activities, ceremonies, and other special events, may take place outside regular weekday hours. A cooperative, professional, and positive attitude toward such responsibilities is expected. Specific Preferences – Science • Applicants with experience or academic backgrounds in one or more of the following areas are particularly encouraged to apply: General Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, General Health / Health Education, Nutrition, Sport, Fitness, or Exercise Science; Other relevant science-related fields • The ability to teach multiple science subjects or contribute to additional science-related courses is an advantage. We are particularly interested in qualified candidates in the following subject areas: Science • Relevant academic backgrounds and teaching experience may include: General Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, General Health / Health Education, Nutrition, Sport, Fitness, or Exercise Science; Other relevant science-related disciplines Mathematics • Applicants with academic backgrounds and/or teaching experience in areas such as: Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, or related secondary mathematics; Other relevant mathematics-related disciplines • Experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level and preparing students for international or standardized examinations is an advantage. English • Applicants with academic backgrounds and/or teaching experience in areas such as: English, English Education, English Language, English Literature, TESOL / TEFL, Applied Linguistics, Linguistics; Other relevant English-language or education-related disciplines • Experience teaching English in an English Program or international-school environment is highly desirable. • Experience preparing students for IELTS or other international English-language examinations is a particular advantage. Occupational Works / Business • Applicants with academic backgrounds and/or teaching experience in areas such as: Business, Business Administration, Management, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Hospitality or related business fields, Occupational Works / Career Education; Other relevant practical, vocational, or business-related disciplines • Candidates who can combine academic knowledge with practical business applications, entrepreneurship, workplace skills, projects, or real-world learning experiences are particularly encouraged to apply.
