Location: Central Job Type: Contract (Renewable basis) About the Role We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and support secure and reliable cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain secure Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure Oversee contractors and vendors supporting cloud-hosted application systems Enable and support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Drive infrastructure and operational automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Grafana. Manage incidents, problems, and changes in accordance with ITIL processes, including root cause analysis and implementation of preventive measures for recurring issues. Conduct change management activities to ensure operational stability, proper governance, and compliance. Ensure cloud environments comply with relevant security, governance, risk, and audit requirements. Requirements Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience in Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, Systems/Infrastructure Engineering, or a similar role. Good hands-on working experience of Microsoft Azure, including Compute, Networking, Storage, and Identity & Access Management (IAM). Familiarity with ITIL service management processes Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Grafana. Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Exposure to CI/CD, DevOps, infrastructure automation, and cloud security practices would be advantageous. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across application teams, vendors, contractors, and business stakeholders. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
