About the Role Our client is a leading global sell-side financial institution seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Analyst to join their Technology & Operations team. In this role, you will act as a pivotal strategic bridge between global Equity Research business stakeholders (Research Analysts, Supervisory Analysts, Publishing Teams) and the IT/Engineering organization. The firm is currently undergoing a major strategic initiative to revamp its core Equity Research Authoring & Publishing platform , alongside end-to-end business process re-engineering . This is an exceptional opportunity for a consultative BA to shape the future state of research production at a premier global firm. Key Responsibilities Business & IT Liaison: Act as the primary interface between front-office business users (Research Analysts, Management) and the technical delivery teams to align technology solutions with business strategy. Process Re-engineering: Analyze, map, and redesign existing workflows across research content creation, financial modeling integration, compliance/supervisory review, and multi-channel publishing to optimize efficiency and user experience. Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Lead requirement discovery workshops; write clear, thorough, and high-quality Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS) , Technical Specifications , user stories, and workflow diagrams. System Revamp Delivery: Participate actively in the end-to-end SDLC for the Authoring System upgrade/replacement, including solution design review, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) execution, defect tracking, and change management. Stakeholder Management: Manage expectations, negotiate scope, and communicate progress effectively to senior business heads and IT leaders across regional and global offices. Production Support & Enhancement: Assist in evaluating user feedback post-launch, identifying areas for continuous feature enhancement and system stability. Requirements & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Experience: 5 to 8 years of solid Business Analysis experience within the Financial Services sector (sell-side investment banking, capital markets, or wealth management preferred). Language Skills: Fluency in both English and Mandarin (spoken and written) is required to collaborate effectively with regional stakeholders and developers. Technical Documentation: Proven track record of drafting precise Functional and Technical Specification documents, process flows, and wireframes. Domain Knowledge: Prior experience with Equity Research Authoring Platforms , research distribution systems, or content management systems (CMS) is a distinct advantage / big plus . Exposure to financial data feeds, compliance/supervisory workflows, or multi-asset research tools is highly desirable. Communication & Soft Skills: Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business terms, and vice versa. Comfort working in a fast-paced, matrixed global environment.
