Key responsibilities Analyze and assess customers for effective negotiation Identify the customers’ need and acquire customers and business by phone calls Aggressive, self-motivated, customer oriented Maintain good support with customers and keep abreast of market & industry development Attend sales meeting with reporting and share in markets where that is desired Manage all aspects of ocean freight operations, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely cargo handling Coordinate with shipping companies (carriers), overseas agents, and inland suppliers to arrange LCL/FCL bookings and monitor shipping schedules Be familiar with all ocean freight import/export documents, including but not limited to Bills of Lading (B/L), manifests, invoices, packing lists, and customs clearance documents. Maintain clear and positive communication with clients, regularly update cargo status, and effectively resolve unforeseen transport issues (e.g., cargo entanglement, delays, etc.). Work closely with warehouses, freight companies, and internal teams to optimize cargo scheduling and delivery processes. Assist with ad-hoc projects. Requirement F.5 or above Minimum 2 years or above experience in sea freight import / export operations within a freight forwarding environmen Deep understanding of sea freight operation workflows, carrier networks, and standard shipping terms (Incoterms) Proficiency in freight forwarding systems Proficiency in MS Office Work under pressure, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks Good in Cantonese, English and Mandarin Willing to work overtime
