About the Role: Laminex Taupō is seeking Maintainer Operators with an Electrical Trade qualification to join our manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you will combine your electrical expertise with production operations, playing a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting and optimising plant and equipment. You’ll play a key role in our safety-focused environment, taking on responsibilities such as setting machine parameters, monitoring performance, making real-time adjustments, and supporting quality checks, troubleshooting, and forklift operations to keep production running smoothly. This role has rotating shifts: 4 days on and 4 days off – 2 days, 2 nights (an average of 42-hour week). To succeed in this role, you will have: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, supported by an Electrical Trade qualification and hands-on experience in equipment maintenance, fault-finding, and plant operations. Demonstrated ability to operate, set up, and troubleshoot plant machinery Strong commitment to health & safety, teamwork, and quality standards Basic computer literacy, including Outlook, Word, and plant/system interfaces Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning, with the ability to quickly pick up new processes and apply technical knowledge in a hands-on environment Able to work independently while contributing effectively to a team Basic computer literacy, with the ability to navigate digital control systems. Physically fit, with the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces Class 1 Full Drivers Licence, and OSH Forklift Licence (advantageous) Electrical trade qualification essential (level 4) To ensure your and others safety, we do require pre-employment medical testing and a criminal history clearance.
