Senior IT Business Analyst (Application Development team) | Banking

About the role This is a Business Analyst role focused on eliciting, analysing, and documenting business requirements to produce high-quality BA artefacts and design functional solutions aligned to business objectives and system architecture. Key responsibilities Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements; produce high-quality BA artefacts including BRD, FRD, functional specifications, user stories, and clear, testable acceptance criteria (Given-When-Then) Design functional solutions aligned to business objectives and system architecture; translate requirements into actionable backlog items and roadmaps Manage requirements and traceability in Jira (or equivalent Agile tools) across the full SDLC; maintain links between epics, stories, test cases, and defects Partner with developers, testers, product owners, and project managers to ensure seamless execution, clear handovers, and timely delivery Support SIT/UAT/regression testing; lead defect triage, validate fixes, and ensure release readiness Contribute to change management, user training, and post-go-live support as needed About you University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline 15+ years of business analysis and/or application project experience; insurance, banking, or payments domain knowledge strongly preferred Solid grasp of IT systems, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum practices; hands-on with Jira for backlog management, user stories, and acceptance criteria Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solution-design mindset; able to articulate complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese; Putonghua is an advantage Detail-oriented, independent, self-motivated, organized; proven supervisory capability and able to deliver under pressure and tight timelines
