Key Responsibilities • Organise and coordinate meetings of the Board of Directors and Board Committees. • Prepare meeting schedules, agendas and supporting documentation. • Attend Board and Board Committee meetings and prepare accurate, comprehensive and high-quality minutes. • Capture complex discussions, deliberations, decisions and action items in a clear, concise and professional manner. • Monitor and follow up on matters arising from Board and Committee meetings to ensure timely resolution and reporting. • Support the preparation and review of Board papers, governance reports and meeting materials. • Liaise with Directors, Senior Management and internal stakeholders on governance and Board-related matters. • Assist in maintaining effective governance practices and Board administration processes. • Supervise and guide a small team supporting Board and Committee activities. • Develop a sound understanding of banking operations, risk management, credit activities and regulatory requirements. Who We Are Looking For We are seeking an intellectually curious and highly articulate individual with exceptional business writing skills and the ability to understand and summarise complex discussions involving strategy, finance, risk and business operations. Requirements • A recognised university degree in any discipline. • At least 8 years of relevant professional experience. • Outstanding written and spoken English. • Excellent business writing, editing and analytical skills. • Strong listening, comprehension and summarisation abilities. • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. • Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills. • High standards of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality. • Ability to engage effectively with senior executives and Board members. • Demonstrated leadership capability and experience supervising staff. • A forward-thinking mindset, with a willingness to learn and responsibly leverage digital tools, including AI, to enhance productivity, strengthen documentation quality, and support effective governance and decision making. Relevant Experience May Include • Corporate governance and corporate secretarial functions. • Banking and financial services. • Business journalism. • Financial or business publication editing. • Editorial and assistant editorial positions. • Corporate communications involving substantive business content. • Equity research and investment research. • Economic or policy research. • Legal publishing and legal editorial work. • Professional writing, analysis or reporting roles involving complex business subjects. Candidates without direct corporate governance experience will be considered if they possess exceptional writing and analytical capabilities and demonstrate a strong interest in governance and banking.
