Site Foreman (Fitout)

About the Employer A young construction business that operates across both the domestic and commercial sectors. The business' strength is in it's purposefully controlled growth since inception, and the relationships it has developed with existing Clients in doing this. This has provided a solid and consistent baseline of projects with opportunities for growth. The Role We are seeking a Site Foreman specific to an exciting new commercial fitout project. The contract role, initially for 6 months, entails the following: Based on site in the Melbourne CBD Working in tandem with another site manager/foreman, with strong administrative and project management support Overseeing services trades, partitioning and finishes trades in line with the construction programme and to a high standard of quality Drive QA/ITPs Directing and issuing instructions to subcontractors where required Resolution of day-to-day issues such as clashes, design detailing and the like in coordination with the project team and wider design team Short-term programming in line with the construction programme, and driving trades to meet target dates and milestones Adherence with building management guidelines, house rules and instigating all permits Driving subcontractor coordination meetings Driving on-site safety Assisting with claims and variations Documenting, actioning and close-out of defects The Candidate Consider applying if you fit the following criteria: Have a relevant qualification - tertiary and trade qualifications considered. Have experience using typical industry software e.g. Procore, Breadcrumb or Hammertech, Microsoft suite Have experience working in premium grade CBD office buildings Can clearly demonstrate a minimum of 5 years' experience on relevant fitout projects Ability to handle the pressure of a fast paced project and environment Able to interpret construction programmes, and develop short-term programmes in line with it Are a systematic operator, while also being dynamic and open to alternative methods Keen to work in a small team, in a growing business with opportunity for future work Remuneration to be determined based on experience and suitability. *Due to the potential volume of candidates, we will only be able to contact shortlisted candidates.
