Join our Malaysia team to test, validate and deploy autonomous electric trucks in real-world port environments . You’ll work hands-on across software testing, vehicle testing, field operations and technical troubleshooting to help deliver safe, stable and reliable autonomous vehicle solutions across Malaysia and APAC. You will work closely with our software developers, system engineers and technical teams in Shanghai HQ , as well as customer and project teams on site. This role is a great fit for a Software Test Engineer, QA Engineer, Field Test Engineer, Systems Test Engineer, or engineering graduate who enjoys solving technical problems and wants to work with emerging autonomous vehicle and AI technology. Use shell scripts and basic Python to support test execution, software updates, and deployment activities. Track defects in Jira, investigate issues with developers, and support root-cause analysis. Maintain test cases, test protocols, issue logs, KPIs, and technical reports. Monitor vehicle testing using tools such as RViz and fleet management systems, including daily data logging and analysis. Support joint testing, customer-site deployments, and occasional travel within Malaysia or overseas. What you’ll bring A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field. Working knowledge of Linux commands and basic shell scripting. Familiarity with Python for reading or making small script changes. Understanding of software testing, defect management, and issue-tracking tools such as Jira. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to work on-site and follow a rotating night-shift schedule when required. Nice to have Knowledge of TCP/IP or MQTT communication protocols. Experience with robotics, autonomous vehicles, electric vehicles, fleet systems, or field deployment. Familiarity with RViz, FMS, or similar monitoring tools. Mandarin language skills for coordination with our Shanghai headquarters. Experience supporting customer-site testing or overseas deployments.
