We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven RFID Sales Manager – Asia Pacific to accelerate the growth of our RFID business across the region. This role will be responsible for developing new business, expanding RFID opportunities within Talon’s existing customer base, and converting brand-level opportunities into scalable commercial programs across sourcing offices and manufacturing locations. The successful candidate should combine strong RFID industry knowledge, solution-selling capability, and an established network within the apparel, footwear, retail, trims, packaging, or related supply-chain ecosystem. This is a highly entrepreneurial role with significant opportunity to contribute to the development of Talon’s growing RFID business. Key Responsibilities Drive RFID revenue growth across Asia Pacific through new customer acquisition and expansion of existing strategic accounts. Build and manage a qualified sales pipeline covering global brands, retailers, sourcing offices, buying offices, garment manufacturers, footwear manufacturers, and other relevant supply-chain partners. Develop opportunities at both brand/retailer nomination level and factory implementation level, converting strategic customer engagement into recurring production volume. Work closely with customers to understand their operational requirements and develop appropriate RFID solutions, including UHF RFID labels/tags, inlays, encoding, printing, data management, and related identification solutions. Lead the commercial process from initial customer engagement and technical evaluation through sampling, pilot programs, pricing, nomination, implementation, and volume production. Identify opportunities to introduce RFID solutions into Talon’s existing trims, labels, packaging, and zipper customer base. Develop account strategies for priority customers and maintain clear revenue targets, pipeline visibility, conversion plans, and sales forecasts. Monitor RFID market developments, competitor activity, pricing trends, emerging technologies, and evolving brand/retailer requirements. Work closely with Talon’s Sales, Product Development, Operations, Sourcing, Quality, IT/Data, and Finance teams to ensure successful customer implementation and commercial execution. Coordinate with Talon’s US, UK, and APAC commercial teams to develop global brand opportunities and ensure effective regional implementation. Represent Talon at customer meetings, industry events, supplier meetings, and relevant RFID / retail technology forums. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 5 years of successful B2B sales or business development experience in RFID, preferably within apparel, footwear, retail, labels, packaging, trims, or supply-chain solutions. Demonstrated track record of winning and developing RFID programs with global brands, retailers, sourcing offices, buying offices, or manufacturing groups. Strong practical understanding of UHF RFID technology, including tags/inlays, antennas, encoding, printing, readers, data capture, and relevant software/data integration. Good understanding of how RFID programs move from brand nomination and technical approval to factory implementation and production scale-up. Existing industry relationships across Asia Pacific, particularly within major sourcing and manufacturing markets such as China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, and other Southeast Asian countries, would be highly valuable. Proven ability to build and manage a sales pipeline and consistently achieve revenue and business development targets. Strong commercial judgment with the ability to balance customer requirements, pricing, margin, technical feasibility, and long-term account value. Entrepreneurial and hands-on mindset, comfortable working in a developing business where processes and capabilities are being built in parallel with commercial growth. Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills. Ability and willingness to travel regularly across Asia Pacific. Fluent spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese required. Cantonese is an advantage. Preferred Background Candidates with relevant commercial experience from leading RFID, identification, labels, packaging, or supply-chain solution companies are particularly encouraged. WorkMundi's database shows 74,689 open sales positions globally. India leads with 17,483 jobs, followed by the US with 13,876. If you're open to geography, you have real options — but the sheer number means you need a filter. Don't apply to everything. Pick a country, a company size, and a sales model that matches what you actually want to do.

Almost 8 in 10 of these ads have their text written in English. That's useful for reading the job description and understanding what you're signing up for. But it tells you nothing about whether the role requires you to speak English with customers, partners, or your team. Ask the hiring manager directly during your first conversation.

The employers posting the most are boxlunch, SIMPLE RECRUIT, FlexBoard, and tmobile. If you see their name on a listing, you know they're actively hiring. That can work in your favor — high-volume recruiters often move faster. But volume also means competition. Your application needs to stand out.

Sales interviews almost always include a version of this: 'Tell me about a time you lost a deal. What did you learn?' Prepare a real story where you take ownership of what went wrong and what you'd do differently. Hiring managers want to see you learn, not just win.
