Key Responsibilities: Results-Oriented : Elevate Hong Kong’s construction safety culture through the execution of key promotional initiatives and stakeholder collaborations. Develop Best Practices: Create practical safety guidelines, alerts, practice notes, and videos (e.g., Design for Safety) to improve industry performance. Guide Training Programs: Partner with the Hong Kong Institute of Construction to ensure safety training meets current legal and site demands. Research & Innovate: Stay updated on local and global safety laws, and research innovative safety technologies and construction methods to encourage industry-wide adoption. Collaborate & Engage: Liaise with regulators and industry stakeholders to understand their needs and drive safety improvements. Committee Support: Serve as the secretariat for the Committee on Construction Safety and handle other tasks assigned by the Executive Director. Candidate Requirements Education: A degree in a construction-related field; having a professional safety qualification is a bonus. Experience: At least 12 years of post-degree experience in construction, ideally with a strong track record in safety and contract management. Management Skills: Strong project management and strategic planning abilities to complete tasks independently and on time. Interpersonal Skills : Excellent networking, communication, and negotiation skills to build strong relationships with government and industry leaders. Work Style: A passionate, proactive, and creative team player who can handle pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines. Language: Complete fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
