Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology (Affiliation: Department of Mathematics and Information Technology Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences) The appointee will be responsible for teaching in higher diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and master’s programmes on digital competency, such as artificial intelligence (AI) literacy and digital literacy. He/she will also be expected to contribute to the Centre’s projects and initiatives, as well as to supervise student projects, and undertake any duties as assigned by the Director or the Director’s delegates. The ideal appointee should be proficient in teaching in both Cantonese and English. The appointee may be required to travel outside of Hong Kong and undertake work including teaching duties as assigned by the University, where necessary. The appointee is expected to take up the appointment in September 2026. For the post of Lecturer I, applicants should have a Master’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Educational Technology or a closely related discipline, plus a minimum of 4 years’ relevant post-qualification teaching experience in a tertiary education setting. Applicants should possess a relevant professional teaching certificate, e.g., PGDE or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognized by the Education Bureau of Hong Kong or other equivalent qualification. They should have some knowledge of the educational context of Hong Kong and/or the Chinese Mainland. A Doctoral Degree in a relevant discipline is preferable. Proven evidence of quality teaching and/or a successful record of relevant professional experience is required. Preference will be given to those who have created AI innovations to advance teaching and learning activities or those with professional experience in industrial, commercial, or public sectors with a proven track record of project work. Applicants with less relevant post-qualification teaching experience may be considered for the post of Lecturer II. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract.
