Role: Command Centre Operations Analyst (GCB 6), Core Enterprise Platforms (Enterprise Infra Command Centre Operation) Client: Consulting Desired Experience Range: 3+ years in a Business or IT environment; hands-on command centre, operations centre, or production support experience preferred. IBM z computer operations experience in a large global company is an advantage. ( Exp 1-2 years also acceptable ) Required Technical Skill Set: IBM z, IBM i, Distributed Compute, command centre operations, 24x7x365 production monitoring, first-line system/application support, incident triage, incident management, service recovery, disaster recovery execution, system health checks, scheduled operational tasks, operating system maintenance support, change release support, systems management tools, diagnostic tools, operational tools, such as Splunk and ServiceNow Unique Selling Proposition (USP) of The Role: • Hands-on operations role supporting Customer's Hong Kong Command Centre within Core Enterprise Platforms. • Exposure to mission-critical IBM Mainframe and IBM i platforms supporting banking operations. • Suitable for practical operators who are confident in production monitoring, incident response and recovery execution. Reporting To Which Role: Command Centre Operations Lead Size of the Team, if any Reporting to this Role: 24x7 operational environment with rotating shifts. Approximately 40 working hours per week, with roster coverage managed across multiple teams. Must have: • Hands-on operational experience supporting IBM z, IBM i and/or Distributed Compute environments in a command centre, operations centre or production support environment. • Monitor and operate computer systems for Customer Group, including subsidiaries, on a 24x7x365 basis. • Strong understanding of first-line system/application support, incident triage, incident management, service recovery and operational escalation processes. • Ability to perform scheduled operational tasks, investigate exceptions, support operating system maintenance and change releases, and use systems management, diagnostic and operational tools. • Able to follow approved operational procedures, recovery runbooks, compliance requirements, security controls and customer IT policies. • Excellent English communication skills are essential. Cantonese and/or Mandarin speaking and written capability is required or strongly preferred. • Willing and able to work a 24x7x365 rotating shift pattern in a mission-critical production environment. • Graduate degree in Business or IT discipline, or an equivalent proven track record of 3+ years in a Business or IT environment. • Sound judgement, strong planning and organisation skills, self-motivation, and the ability to deliver multiple priorities under time pressure. Good-to-Have • IBM z computer operations experience in a large global company is an advantage. • Experience supporting banking, financial services or other regulated production environments. • ITIL Service Management Foundation qualification is desirable. • Experience using systems management, diagnostic and operational tools such as Splunk and ServiceNow. • Familiarity with change management, release management, disaster recovery and post-release validation processes. Role descriptions / Expectations from the Role Monitor, manage and support IT services delivered to customer businesses on a 24x7x365 basis across Command Centre Operations APAC. Monitor and operate IBM z, IBM i and Distributed Compute systems for Customer Group, including subsidiaries. Provide first-line support at system and application level, including prompt recovery of impacted services. Perform scheduled tasks, investigate exceptions, execute approved recovery procedures and contribute to incident triage, incident management and escalation. Support operating system maintenance, technical team activities, change releases and post-release validation using customer operational tools. Act as one of the key parties supporting Disaster Recovery plan and procedure execution during disaster situations. Liaise and coordinate with technical support teams, external vendors, internal customers and line management to maintain service delivery and escalate issues appropriately. Implement security controls to maintain data centre access during non-office hours and protect operational integrity. Contribute to service improvement initiatives and maintain IT operations process integrity and conduct standards in line with IT/customer policies. Details of The Project: Command Centre Operations (CCO) is accountable for monitoring, managing and supporting IT services delivered to customer businesses globally. CCO operates through command centres on a 24x7x365 basis and supports an inclusive working environment that values diversity and ability. Command Centre Operations APAC supports and manages IT services across Customer Group on a 24x7x365 basis. The role supports IT operations, service recovery and release activity in partnership with technical support teams and in line with the company's policies and procedures. The analyst will monitor and operate IBM z, IBM i and Distributed Compute systems, provide first-line system and application support, recover impacted services, execute scheduled tasks, investigate exceptions, and support change implementation using customer systems management and operational tools. The role also includes disaster recovery support, data centre access control during non-office hours, incident triage, escalation, service improvement and process integrity responsibilities. The successful candidate should have strong English communication skills, Cantonese or Mandarin capability, sound judgement, self-motivation, strong planning skills and the ability to deliver multiple priorities under time pressure in a rotating 24x7x365 shift pattern.
