Job Description Location: Unit 903-906, One Island South, Wong Chuk Hang Job Type: Part-time / Freelance About Us: Studio 789 is a premier dance studio dedicated to providing high-energy, professional, and fun dance experiences. Located in the convenient One Island South complex, we serve a diverse community of dancers. The Role: We are seeking a talented and charismatic KPOP Dance Instructor to teach students of various age groups and skill levels. This role involves teaching both regular technique-based classes and dedicated performance classes , where you will prepare students for studio showcases, competitions, or video projects. The ideal candidate is not only an excellent dancer but also a charismatic leader who can break down complex routines and foster a positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Regular Classes: Plan and lead engaging weekly KPOP dance classes for beginners to intermediate levels (children, teens, and adults). Teach proper technique, musicality, and performance quality, focusing on the specific style of various KPOP groups. Break down choreography into easy-to-follow steps for students of all skill levels. Create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment that encourages students to build confidence. Performance Classes: Lead specialized performance classes aimed at preparing students for recitals, studio showcases, or competitions. Choreograph original routines or arrange medleys specifically for stage performance. Focus on advanced elements such as formation changes, stage presence, facial expressions, and group synchronization. Coach students on stamina and execution required for full-stage performances. General Duties: Provide clear and constructive feedback to students to help them improve. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the studio space (Unit 903-906). Collaborate with management on class schedules, special workshops, and promotional content (e.g., appearing in social media content/reels). Qualifications & Requirements: Proficiency in multiple styles of KPOP dance with a strong understanding of its nuances. Previous experience teaching dance classes is required. Experience choreographing for stage performances or showcases is highly preferred. Ability to break down choreography for both casual learners and performance-focused students. Energetic, reliable, and punctual with excellent communication skills. Must be eligible to work in Hong Kong. Compensation & Benefits: Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.
