About the Role We are looking for an experienced and hands-on HR Manager to lead the Company's HR function and ensure that HR programs, policies, and processes support business operations. The role will focus on HR process improvement, employee relations and labor compliance, performance management, training and development, employee retention, and talent acquisition. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws, sound judgment in handling employee concerns, and the ability to work closely with management and department heads on people and organizational matters. Key Responsibilities HR Leadership & Operations Manage and lead the overall HR function and ensure effective delivery of HR services. Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and processes aligned with business objectives. Partner with management and department heads on workforce planning and people-related decisions. Review HR processes, reports, and metrics and recommend improvements to support operational efficiency. Employee Relations & Labor Compliance Lead the management of employee concerns, grievances, workplace conflicts, and disciplinary cases. Oversee investigations and disciplinary proceedings, ensuring proper documentation and due process. Review and prepare HR documents such as Incident Reports, NTEs, employee explanations, administrative hearing documents, and NODs. Handle and represent the Company in DOLE, SENA, and NLRC cases, with legal support when necessary. Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws and government requirements. Guide managers and supervisors on employee relations, workplace conduct, and proper handling of employee concerns. Performance Management Lead the Company's performance management process. Partner with department heads to develop, implement, and monitor employee KPIs and performance standards. Oversee performance reviews and ensure timely completion of evaluations. Guide managers in addressing performance concerns and providing effective feedback. Oversee Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and employee development initiatives. Talent Acquisition, Retention & Employer Branding Develop recruitment strategies aligned with manpower requirements and business growth. Oversee end-to-end recruitment for key and critical positions. Monitor recruitment, turnover, and attrition trends and recommend employee retention strategies. Develop initiatives to improve employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention. Strengthen the Company's employer brand through recruitment campaigns, social media, events, and other talent attraction initiatives. Ensure effective onboarding and integration of new employees. Training & Development Lead the Company's training and development programs. Conduct or oversee Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and identify competency gaps. Develop training programs for employees, supervisors, and managers, including leadership and supervisory development. Support employee development and career growth initiatives. Monitor training effectiveness and recommend improvements. Compensation & Benefits / HR Administration Oversee compensation and benefits, payroll coordination, and government-mandated benefits. Support salary reviews, adjustments, and other compensation initiatives. Ensure accurate and updated employee records, HR reports, and compliance documentation. Key Competencies Employee Relations & DOLE/Labor Compliance Performance Management, KPI Development & PIPs Training & Development Employee Retention Strategies Employer Branding & Talent Attraction HR Process Improvement HR Policy Development HR Team Leadership Workforce Planning Employee Engagement Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field. At least 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Strong hands-on experience in employee relations, disciplinary processes, and labor relations. Solid knowledge of Philippine labor laws and HR compliance. Experience handling DOLE, SENA, and/or NLRC cases is highly preferred. Strong experience in performance management, KPI development, performance evaluations, and PIPs. Experience in HR policy and process development/improvement. Experience in employee retention and employer branding initiatives. Strong training and development experience, including TNA and employee development. Experience supervising and developing HR personnel. Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Able to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and manage sensitive employee matters. Relevant experience in retail, bakery, restaurant, food service, hospitality, or other multi-location operational businesses is highly preferred. What We Are Looking For We are looking for an HR leader who is hands-on, practical, business-oriented, and comfortable dealing with both employees and management. The ideal candidate should be able to manage complex employee relations and labor matters, improve HR processes, strengthen performance and retention programs, and develop the HR team. Most importantly, the HR Manager should demonstrate integrity, fairness, sound judgment, accountability, and the confidence to uphold proper HR practices even in difficult employee or management situations.
