About the role This is a permanent, part-time opportunity (15 hours per week). The primary purpose of the Community Engagement Officer role is to coordinate community awareness raising activities in the region that: Promotes and enhances understanding of the services offered at Head to Health including referral pathways Promotes early help seeking to improve access to health and other services for priority populations Ensures information available to consumers, their families and the local community is accessible and easy to understand Benefits & Perks A positive work culture by offering flexible work arrangements that support your wellbeing Ongoing professional development and supervision Increase your take home pay by salary packaging up to $15,900 + $2,650 meals and entertainment GPH Staff Conference Employer paid parental leave on top of the government PPL Scheme Free and confidential Employee Assistance Program Skills & Experience Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, and/or extensive experience in community development, health promotion, public health, social sciences, or education Demonstrated experience in delivering community engagement activities that increase community awareness and reduce barriers to care for mental health consumers Demonstrated understanding of the health and wellbeing needs of consumers with mental health and/or substance use problems Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills and ability to work as part of a team as well as independently About Grand Pacific Health What we care about most is supporting healthier, happier, more connected communities across NSW, ACT and QLD.
