Payroll/Accounts Payable

About the role Join the team at Night 'n Day Foodstores as a Payroll/Accounts Payable specialist. In this full-time role based in Dunedin, you will be responsible for processing payroll and assisting with accounts payable for the company's large network of retail stores. You will enjoy building and maintaining relationships with our franchisees, suppliers and working closely with the wider finance and operations teams. What you'll be doing Processing fortnightly payroll for all store employees Maintaining employee records and ensuring compliance with relevant payroll regulation Enter and match invoices and ensure the correct payment is made Reconcile creditor statements Ensure creditor prices are correct and all discounts and credits are received Create invoices and statements as required for receivables Assist with office administration tasks as required Assist with projects as they arise and provide support with testing and reconciling new systems What we're looking for Essential Skills: • Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal. This includes the ability to communicate with a wide range of people from a variable background, including franchisees and suppliers • Good knowledge and ability in the use of Excel • Ability to process large volumes of data quickly and accurately • Strong attention to detail, documentation skills and ability to implement and monitor processes • Capable of working autonomously and as a member of a team Desirable Skills: • Experience and knowledge of payroll processing and legislation • Experience and knowledge of financial systems • Knowledge of accounting and payroll software including Sage, Xero, Redmap and ThankYou Payroll • Understanding of GST and coding transactions About us Night ‘n Day Foodstores has been operating across the country for over 35 years.
