Data Governance Specialist

Responsibilities : - Implement and maintain enterprise Data Governance policies, standards, and procedures across assigned business domains. - Partner with business data owners and data stewards to establish and maintain data ownership and stewardship responsibilities. - Monitor and improve Data Quality by defining validation rules, tracking quality metrics, and coordinating issue resolution. - Support the development and maintenance of Business Glossary, Metadata Repository, and Data Catalog. - Document and maintain Data Lineage to improve transparency and impact analysis. - Ensure compliance with data governance policies, PDPA, and regulatory requirements. Work with Data Engineering and Data Analytics teams to ensure governed and trusted data is available for reporting, analytics, and AI initiatives. - Support governance assessments, audits, and remediation activities. - Identify opportunities to improve or automate governance processes using governance tools and workflow automation. - Promote governance awareness through documentation, training sessions, and stakeholder engagement. Qualification : - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field - 3–6 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, Master Data Management (MDM), Business Intelligence, or related disciplines - Experience supporting Data Quality, Metadata Management, Business Glossary, or Data Governance initiatives - Experience working with business and technology teams to improve data quality and governance processes - Basic understanding of Data Stewardship, Data Ownership, and Data Lifecycle Management - Experience with Data Governance or Metadata Management tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Informatica, Alation) is preferred - Experience in banking, financial services, auto lending, or regulated industries is preferred
