Our client is a well-known global company and they are looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to cope with their business. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and support secure, scalable, and highly available cloud platforms in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Establish, optimize, and govern enterprise cloud landing zones, ensuring alignment with security, compliance, networking, identity, and operational best practices. Partner with application and development teams to productionize cloud-native and legacy applications, enabling smooth transitions into enterprise-grade production environments. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform to deliver automated, consistent, and repeatable deployments. Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation frameworks using tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions to improve delivery speed and reliability. Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability capabilities to ensure platform stability, performance, and proactive incident management. Drive continuous improvement in cloud operations, resilience, security, disaster recovery, and operational readiness through documentation, runbooks, and best practices. Requirements: Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer, Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role with hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Strong experience designing, implementing, and managing cloud landing zones, including governance, identity management, networking, and security controls. Solid understanding of platform engineering, cloud architecture, and production operations within large-scale enterprise environments. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, along with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or similar technologies. Demonstrated experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and cloud-native delivery practices using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent platforms. Strong knowledge of observability, cloud security, IAM, secrets management, resilience, scalability, backup, disaster recovery, and operational support best practices. Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills; Cantonese language capability is highly desirable for effective collaboration with local teams.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
