About the role We are looking for a Computer Engineer who is passionate about technology, problem-solving and emerging technologies. You will work closely with customers, sales teams, product teams and engineers to understand technical requirements, evaluate solutions, troubleshoot technical issues and support the implementation of Advantech's industrial computing and AIoT solutions. This role is suitable for both Fresh Graduates and experienced professionals who are interested in developing their careers in Industrial Computing, Embedded Systems, Edge AI, IoT and Smart Applications. Key responsibilities Provide technical support and consultation for Advantech's industrial computers, embedded platforms, IoT and Edge AI solutions. Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable hardware, software and system solutions. Perform product evaluation, testing, system configuration and troubleshooting. Support Proof of Concept (POC), product demonstrations and technical presentations. Work with Sales and other technical teams to develop solutions that meet customer requirements. Investigate technical problems and identify root causes and appropriate solutions. Support system integration and deployment of computing platforms in customer environments. Prepare technical documents, solution specifications, test reports and presentation materials. Keep up to date with emerging technologies such as Edge AI, AIoT, Embedded Systems, Industrial Automation and Computer Vision. Participate in customer meetings, technology events, workshops and product demonstrations when required. About you Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related fields. 0–5 years of experience in computer engineering, system integration, technical support, embedded systems, IoT or related fields. Fresh graduates with strong technical interest are welcome to apply. Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software architecture. Understanding of operating systems such as Windows or Linux. Programming knowledge in C/C++, Python, NODERed, MQTT, C#, SQL Language, Dashboard report or other programming languages is an advantage. Knowledge of Embedded Systems, Edge Computing, AI, Computer Vision or IoT will be an advantage. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Good English communication.

If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
