Job Description & Requirements Position Overview Nutrition Asia Group (NAG) is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Executive in Malaysia to manage the full spectrum of accounting, finance, tax, payroll, and compliance for its Malaysia operations. The role will work closely with the Singapore Headquarters Finance Team to ensure accurate reporting, statutory compliance, cashflow management, and smooth financial operations. Key Responsibilities 1. Full Set of Accounts Maintain a complete set of accounts in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS). Record all accounting transactions accurately and timely in the Netsuite ERP system. Maintain General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Fixed Assets, and Bank Accounts. Ensure proper accounting treatment and E-Filing supporting documentation for all transactions. Review accounting entries and maintain proper audit trails. 2. Accounts Receivable Management Monitor customer outstanding balances. Prepare weekly and monthly AR Ageing Reports. Follow up on customer collections and overdue balances. Liaise with customers regarding payment discrepancies. Escalate long-outstanding balances to management. Provide collection status updates to Singapore HQ on a weekly time basis. 3. Accounts Payable Management Verify supplier invoices against supporting documents. Process supplier payments according to approved payment schedules. Maintain AP Ageing Reports. Monitor overdue supplier balances. Liaise with suppliers regarding payment issues. Ensure no duplicate or erroneous payments occur. 4. Bank Reconciliation & Cash Management Perform monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts. Investigate and resolve unreconciled items promptly. Monitor daily cash balances. Report significant cash movements to Singapore HQ on the weekly cashflow forecasts. 5. Inventory Accounting & Analysis Reconcile inventory balances with inventory records. Review inventory movements and costing. Perform inventory variance analysis. Assist with inventory stocktake exercises. Investigate inventory discrepancies and provide recommendations. 6. Management Reporting Prepare and submit monthly management reports including: Cashflow Report supporting data and information AR Ageing Report AP Ageing Report Bank Reconciliation Summary Inventory Report Variance Analysis Provide commentary on significant financial movements and variances. 7. Weekly Reporting to Singapore HQ The accounting firm shall provide weekly updates to Singapore Headquarters Finance Team, including: Accounts Receivable Ageing Accounts Payable Ageing Bank Reconciliation Status Outstanding Collection Issues Outstanding Supplier Payments Weekly Cashflow Forecast Significant Accounting Issues Compliance Status Updates The purpose of these reports is to enable Singapore HQ to maintain consolidated cashflow forecasts and management reporting. 8. Payroll Administration & Employment Compliance Responsible for full payroll processing and statutory submissions, including: Monthly payroll processing Preparation of payslips Employee expense claims Overtime calculations (where applicable) Annual salary reporting for individual tax Statutory compliance: EPF (Employees Provident Fund) SOCSO (Social Security Organisation) EIS (Employment Insurance System) PCB / Monthly Tax Deduction (MTD) HRD Corp Levy (where applicable) Ensure all submissions and payments are made before statutory deadlines. 9. ERP & Internal Controls Maintain accounting records within Netsuite ERP systems. Oracle NetSuite experience is highly preferred. Ensure proper internal controls are maintained. Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities. Ensure segregation of duties and compliance with company policies. 10. Ad-hoc Support Prepare special reports requested by management. Participate in finance-related projects. Support Singapore HQ on regional reporting requirements. Liaise directly with external auditors. Coordinate audit fieldwork. Provide audit supporting documents. Resolve audit queries. Any other adhoc duties Minimum Requirements Experience Minimum 5 years of accounting experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. Experience managing full sets of accounts. Experience handling Malaysian payroll and statutory compliance. Experience dealing with external auditors and tax agents. Experience supporting multinational companies is preferred. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards (MFRS). Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations. Experience with Oracle NetSuite preferred. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with Netsuite ERP systems and accounting software. Soft Skills Strong communication skills in English. Detail-oriented and highly organised. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to meet tight reporting deadlines. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to communicate effectively with Singapore HQ and local stakeholders. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Monthly closing is completed by agreed deadlines. Weekly reports submitted on time. Zero late statutory filings. Zero payroll compliance issues. Accurate AR/AP ageing reports. Bank reconciliations completed monthly. Cashflow reports submitted timely. Audit completed without significant findings. Timely resolution of accounting discrepancies. Compliance with all Malaysian statutory requirements.
