Senior Manager, Investment Operations and Financial Reporting

About the role We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager, Investment Operations and Financial Reporting to oversee investment operations, accounting, and reporting activities. The role will ensure the accurate, complete, and timely processing of investment transactions while maintaining compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal control frameworks. The position will work closely with Investment, Treasury, Actuarial, Risk Management, Finance, external custodians, auditors, and other stakeholders to support reliable financial reporting and continuous improvement of investment-related processes and systems. Key responsibilities Oversee end-to-end investment operations, including transaction processing, settlement, reconciliation, and accurate recording of investment activities. Manage investment accounting processes in accordance with TFRS and the company's accounting policies. Review investment-related journal entries, account reconciliations, valuation reports, and supporting documents as part of the month-end and year-end closing processes. Ensure investment data accuracy and consistency across investment platforms, custodian statements, the general ledger, and financial reporting systems. Partner with Investment, Treasury, Actuarial, Risk Management, and external custodians to investigate and resolve transaction, valuation, and reporting issues. Lead projects involving investment accounting system implementation, enhancement, integration, and finance transformation. Support the preparation of financial statements, management reports, Audit Committee materials, and regulatory submissions related to investment activities. Ensure compliance with OIC requirements, TFRS, fair value measurement principles, hedge accounting requirements, and internal control policies. Coordinate with external auditors, internal audit teams, and regulators on investment accounting, valuation, and reporting matters. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve controls, automate recurring activities, and enhance operational efficiency. About you Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline. CPA qualification or other relevant professional certification would be an advantage. At least 8 to 10 years of experience in investment accounting, investment operations, financial reporting, or related finance functions. Experience in the life insurance, insurance, banking, or broader financial services industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of investment products, including fixed income securities, equities, mutual funds, derivatives, and alternative investments. Good understanding of TFRS, investment accounting, hedge accounting, fair value measurement, and insurance-related financial reporting requirements. Experience in investment system implementation, finance transformation, or major system improvement projects is highly desirable. Strong analytical capability with sound problem-solving and decision-making skills. Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business functions.
