Who We Are With over 200 acres of nursery facilities , Prestige Plants Australia is one of Australia's largest suppliers of plants to the commercial landscaping industry. We are seeking a motivated and reliable Experienced Nursery Worker to join our nursery teams at Kinglake and Whittlesea. This role involves the propagation, cultivation, and maintenance of high-quality tree stock for commercial supply to landscaping and horticultural markets. You will be working as part of a team responsible for ensuring plant health, meeting output targets, and maintaining workplace safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Potting up a wide variety of trees Plant maintenance including fertilising, pruning, and pest/disease monitoring Operation, monitoring, and repair of irrigation Labelling, stock control, and order preparation for dispatch Use and maintenance of nursery equipment such as potting machines, forklifts, and tractors, sprayers, etc. Manual handling tasks including lifting, carrying, and loading plant stock Maintaining a clean, safe, and biosecure work environment Supporting production targets and quality assurance processes Skills and Capabilities Required Technical Skills Knowledge of plant propagation and production nursery operations Ability to identify tree species Experience pruning and maintaining trees and an interest in learning more! Understanding of pest and disease management, fertiliser application, and plant health Familiarity with irrigation and water management systems Experience with nursery machinery, forklifts, or agricultural equipment (licences desirable) Personal Capabilities Strong physical fitness and enjoyment of working outdoors High attention to detail and quality control Ability to work effectively in a team Strong work ethic and reliability Commitment to safe work practices Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records Preferred Qualifications Certificate III in Production Horticulture or equivalent (desirable) Previous experience in a production nursery or horticulture environment Forklift licence or machinery operation experience What you'll need Full Australian working rights Ability to apply horticultural knowledge Excellent people management, communication, and interpersonal skills An eye for detail A positive attitude and a willingness to learn Culture and benefits Competitive salary on offer Join a well-established and respected business Experienced and supportive team Training provided to grow the right person Applications should include a resume and cover letter highlighting specific relevant experience.
