At PaySo, a Quality Assurance Engineer is not just a tester, but a Guardian of Correctness. In an environment where AI accelerates development, your role is to ensure that speed never compromises system integrity. You are responsible for designing validation strategies that prove our payment systems are secure, scalable, and functionally flawless. You will act as the final anchor for delivery quality, ensuring that every artifact, whether generated by a human or an AI, meets the high standards required for mission-critical financial transactions. Key Responsibilities 1. Validation Strategy & Execution Design and execute comprehensive testing plans covering both manual exploration and high-coverage automation. Validate the correctness of the PaySo Payment Gateway, ensuring every transaction, refund, and settlement flows through the system with 100% accuracy. Ensure seamless integration across multiple payment protocols (e.g., PromptPay, Credit/Debit cards, e-Wallets). 2. AI-Augmented Testing Leadership Leverage AI tools to accelerate the creation of test cases, automation scripts, and synthetic test data. Define prompts and validation guardrails to ensure AI-generated test scripts are reliable and maintainable. Review AI-assisted code to identify edge cases that automated tools might overlook. 3. Payment Integrity & Compliance Enforce compliance with security standards, specifically focusing on PCI DSS scope and secure data handling. Conduct security and robustness testing to protect against vulnerabilities or data leaks within the payment pipeline. Ensure that all system contracts and data boundaries are respected across the platform. 4. System Resilience & Performance Own the performance validation process, including Load Testing and Stress Testing, to ensure the system remains performant under high-volume transaction spikes. Perform end-to-end (E2E) testing to ensure the entire ecosystem from API request to bank settlement operates without friction. 5. Quality Governance & Collaboration Record, report, and track bugs with high precision, providing developers with clear, structured artifacts to facilitate rapid fixing. Partner with engineers to establish "validation loops," ensuring that quality is built in from the design phase, not just at the end. Contribute to the Platform Context by maintaining up-to-date test documentation and shared knowledge bases. What Success Looks Like Deterministic Quality: Production incidents are rare because the system was validated against a rigorous, structured test suite. Rapid Feedback Loops: The team can deploy with confidence because your automation provides fast, reliable signals on system health. Security by Default: Compliance and security checks are an integrated part of the daily testing workflow. Clarity: You reduce ambiguity by identifying vague requirements before they become bugs in production. What This Role Is Not Not a “manual clicker” who operates without understanding the underlying system architecture. Not a “bottleneck” that slows down delivery; you are an enabler of safe speed. Not passive; you are expected to challenge requirements and push for technical excellence. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field 2–4 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, preferably within FinTech or Payment Gateways Proficiency in both Manual and Automation testing methodologies Deep experience in API Testing (e.g., Postman, RESTful protocols) and data validation using SQL Hands-on experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Robot Framework, Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress) Strong understanding of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6) Strong analytical skills with the ability to convert complex business logic into structured test cases Comfort working with AI tools to enhance testing productivity and script generation What we offer? Modern Work Style: Hybrid working (4 days in office) at a prime location in CW Tower (Directly connected to MRT Thailand Cultural Centre). Comprehensive Benefits: Health and accident insurance (including dental), annual check-ups, and an annual bonus based on performance. Generous Time Off: 10–15 days of vacation (available immediately after probation!), up to 7 days of personal leave, and a special Birthday Leave. Growth & Learning: Support for equipment (Notebook) and a budget for online/onsite training to upskill and reskill. Fun & Wellness: Unlimited refreshments/coffee, monthly Office Massage from visually impaired therapists, and regular team-building activities or trips.

Here's how to pick the right one and stand out in your application.

144.883Jobs

That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
