LABOURER / TRADE ASSISTANT

Ace Electrics | Palmerston North Looking for a hands-on role where attitude matters more than experience? Ace Electrics is looking for a reliable, hardworking Labourer / Trade Assistant to join our team. Your main focus will be supporting our Residential and Light Commerial Heat Pump HVAC installers with heat pump, ventilation and ducted system installations, but you’ll also lend a hand across our wider electrical team wherever needed. You don’t need trade or HVAC experience. What we care about is that you turn up, get stuck in, listen, learn and take pride in doing a good job. What you’ll be doing No two days will necessarily look the same. You might be: Assisting with heat pump and ducted system installations Carrying equipment, materials and tools Helping install ducting, pipework and associated components Working in ceiling spaces and under floors Helping our electricians pull cables Digging trenches for underground services Picking up materials from suppliers Delivering tools and materials to our teams on different job sites Setting up and packing down job sites Keeping work areas clean, tidy and organised Being an extra pair of hands wherever the team needs you Learning the trade to become an installer It’s a hands-on role . Some days you’ll be climbing ladders or working in roof spaces. Other days you might be digging a trench, moving equipment or running materials across town. You need to be comfortable with physical work and willing to get stuck in. Who we’re looking for Experience would be useful, but attitude is far more important to us.
