About the Role Are you practical, confident with tools and someone who takes pride in doing a job properly? We’re looking for an Installation Technician to join our Curtain Studio team in Tauranga, installing curtains, blinds, tracks and other window furnishings in our customers’ homes and commercial spaces. Previous window furnishings installation experience would be great, but it’s not essential. If you come from a trade, handyman, property maintenance, building, joinery, cabinetry or similar hands-on background, and you’re confident using tools and learning new skills, we’d be keen to hear from you. This is a varied, customer-facing role where you’ll be out and about across the Tauranga area, managing your daily installations and making sure every job is completed to a high standard. What You’ll Be Doing: Installing curtains, blinds, tracks and accessories in residential and commercial properties Measuring and checking installation requirements on site Planning each installation and ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently Troubleshooting installation issues and finding practical solutions Liaising with customers and our sales and operations teams when issues arise Taking accurate measurements, photos and notes where remedial work is required Looking after company tools, equipment and products Keeping customer homes and work areas clean and tidy Managing your daily schedule and communicating if installation timings change Delivering a professional, friendly experience for every customer About You: You don’t necessarily need to have installed curtains or blinds before. What matters most is that you’re practical, reliable and comfortable working with your hands. Ideally, you’ll bring: Previous installation, trade, handyman or other practical hands-on experience Confidence using hand and power tools Strong measuring skills and good attention to detail The ability to problem-solve and work independently Great communication skills and confidence working in customers’ homes A positive attitude and willingness to learn Good organisation and time-management skills A clean, unrestricted Class 1 New Zealand Driver Licence Above all, you’ll take pride in your workmanship and want to leave every customer happy with the finished result.
