We are currently looking for fulltime fitter/welders with welding and fabrication experience in manufacturing Trailers & Truck Bodies. Tasks & Responsibilities: As a Fitter/Welder you will be expected to lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms, using knowledge of welding techniques and engineering requirements according to specifications/drawings given to you. Fabricate new builds and conduct service & repair of road transport equipment. You will be required to weld in various positions including flat, vertical up & overhead position. You should have extensive knowledge of workshop tools and machinery with an excellent attention to detail with quality output Have an excellent attention to detail & maintain quality in accordance with Engineers certification sign off Have a strong health and safety focus Qualifications & Experience: Minimum of five years’ experience as fitter welder fabricating equipment for the heavy transport setting. Trade qualifications would be preferred. Current welding tickets in various positions including flat, vertical up & overhead position Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with welding and fitting. Heavy welding (essential) Class 1 clean driver licence. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be willing to complete pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing and willing to consent to an ACC injury history & M.O.J request. Remuneration & Benefits: A competitive hourly rate Great working hours 7.30 - 4 pm Monday to Friday Ordinary hourly rate will range from $30.00 - $39.00+ based on experience.
