Descriptions Chinese International School (CIS) is seeking an experienced, bilingual Senior Librarian to join our Secondary Library team. This dynamic role entails significant operational and instructional responsibilities, including leading library orientation programmes, co-facilitating information literacy classes, and delivering user education in both Putonghua and English. The Senior Librarian will oversee the development, promotion, and curation of the Chinese language collection, liaise directly with the Chinese Department, coordinate major literary events and festivals, and manage daily library systems and staff workflows. Requirements: Qualifications: Master of Library Science (MLS/MLIS) or Bachelor of Library Science; a recognized teaching license, certification, or postgraduate qualification in education (e.g., PGDE, PGCE, or equivalent) is preferred. Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience in an academic or school library setting, with demonstrated supervisory, event management, and instructional coordination experience. Language Proficiency: Full professional fluency in spoken and written Chinese (Mandarin/Putonghua) and English.
