About the Role Working hours: 2 shifts (pick 1) , Mon-Fri 1) 3:30pm to 11:30pm Local time 2) 11:30pm to 7:30am local time (higher pay) Holidays will be following US market closed days summary: monitor trading operations, log errors, report anomalies, perform simple analysis need to be someone who pays attention to details, calm and responds fast to instructions about: We operate a fully automated quantitative trading system executing intraday US equity momentum strategies. As our infrastructure scales, we need a sharp, detail-oriented person to be the human layer on top of the bots — watching execution in real time, catching anomalies before they become costly, and acting as the bridge between live market activity and our engineering team. You will not be generating trade ideas. The algorithms do that. Your job is to make sure those algorithms are running correctly, within risk parameters, and that nothing slips through the cracks during live market hours. What You Will Do Pre-Market (8:30 – 9:30 AM ET) Verify the real-time trading server (rtsvr) is live and all active strategies are loaded correctly Confirm signal feed is publishing and strategy count matches expected Review overnight walkforward dashboard — flag any strategies showing unusual drawdown or degraded metrics Check DAS Trader Pro connection and account status Scan news, circuit breakers, and gap list for tickers that may affect bot behaviour today Market Hours (9:30 AM – 4:00 PM ET) Monitor live P&L, position count, and per-strategy exposure in real time Watch for execution anomalies: missed fills, runaway sizing, unexpected holds past EOD exit time Enforce daily hard-stop rules — manually flatten positions if a bot breaches a risk limit and the system does not self-correct within the defined window Log every incident (time, ticker, strategy, issue type, action taken) in the shared incident log Escalate server-side issues to engineering immediately — provide timestamps, error context, and affected strategies Monitor for halted or illiquid tickers where automated exit logic may be impaired Keep a running commentary in the ops channel during high-activity periods Post-Market (4:00 – 5:00 PM ET) Confirm all positions are flat (or document any approved overnight holds) Reconcile daily trade log against expected strategy output Write EOD summary: notable trades, incidents, P&L vs expected, anomalies observed Flag strategies that underperformed significantly for engineering review Tools & Systems You Will Work With DAS Trader Pro — primary execution and position monitoring interface Live P&L / walkforward dashboard (browser-based, updated in real time) Google Sheets — strategy performance tracking and incident log Real-time signal monitor — internal tool showing live signal events per strategy Team chat (Slack/Discord) — escalation and coordination with engineering Nice-to-Have Prior experience trading stocks or monitoring or operating automated trading systems Basic understanding of intraday momentum setups — ATR, session highs, volume profile Comfortable reading a trade log (CSV) and spotting outliers across 50+ trades What We Are NOT Looking For Someone who wants to override the bots with their own trade ideas — this is a monitoring role, not discretionary A developer or quant (separate hires) — no coding required Someone who needs hand-holding during market hours — you need to be self-sufficient once trained Compensation & Structure Base pay: competitive, commensurate with experience + bonus Remote-first — work from home with a reliable connection and a proper trading setup (dual monitors minimum) Growth path: senior ops role as the firm scales; first hires get in early
