Contract Specialist

Responsibilities: Provide commercial advice to management on commercial and contract management matters, such as tendering and claims processes. Review and advise on claim issues, and implement preventive measures to minimize future contractual claims and disputes from consultants and contractors. Assess consultants' or contractors' payment applications in connection with consultancy services contracts and the employment of site supervision staff. Handle complaints, contract disputes, and variation order (VO) claims. Requirements: Degree holder in Quantity Surveying, Building Services, Construction or related discipline. Chartered membership in the HKIS or RICS is required. 5 years’ post-qualification management experience in HK’s contract administration for multi-disciplinary MEP projects. Experience in NEC contracts is highly preferable. Excellent understanding of construction contracts, tender processes, and commercial management. Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills. Strong sense of responsibility with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin). Immediate availability or short notice preferred.
